Scam Alert: Fraudulent Websites and Job Offers Impersonating DesignCoil

These individuals are operating fraudulent websites and contacting people with fake work-from-home opportunities, “product optimization” jobs, “merchant task” jobs, and similar offers. These websites and individuals are not affiliated with DesignCoil in any way.

What the Scam Looks Like

Victims are typically contacted through:

  • Text messages
  • WhatsApp
  • Telegram
  • Social media
  • Email

They are offered work-from-home opportunities that supposedly involve:

  • Optimizing products
  • Increasing sales
  • Enhancing brand awareness
  • Completing merchant tasks
  • Rating products
  • Processing online orders

Initially, victims may receive small payments to build trust. Later, they are instructed to deposit money or cryptocurrency to:

  • Clear a negative balance
  • Unlock earnings
  • Increase VIP levels
  • Access larger commissions
  • Complete additional tasks

This is a scam.

DesignCoil Will Never

DesignCoil will never:

  • Ask applicants or contractors to deposit money
  • Request cryptocurrency payments
  • Require a payment before receiving compensation
  • Ask workers to clear negative balances
  • Operate product optimization platforms
  • Offer compensation for clicking buttons or completing repetitive merchant tasks

If anyone claiming to represent DesignCoil asks you to do any of these things, they are not affiliated with our company.

Fraudulent Websites

We have identified the following fraudulent websites impersonating our company:

  • designcoilpdo.com

These websites are not owned, operated, or authorized by DesignCoil. The operators have copied our business name, branding, and modified public business records to create a false appearance of legitimacy.

Known Scam Indicators

The following claims have been reported by victims:

  • “Product optimization” jobs
  • “Merchant tasks”
  • “Enhance brand awareness”
  • “Increase product sales”
  • “VIP levels”
  • “Negative balances”
  • Cryptocurrency deposits required to continue working
  • Cryptocurrency deposits required before withdrawals are allowed

These are common indicators of task-based cryptocurrency scams.

Do not rely on contact information provided by third-party websites or messaging applications.

Already Sent Money?

If you have already sent money or cryptocurrency:

  1. Stop sending additional funds immediately.
  2. Save all screenshots and communications.
  3. Preserve wallet addresses and transaction IDs.
  4. Contact your bank, exchange, or payment provider.
  5. File a report with law enforcement.
  6. File a complaint with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
